El Rey Del Taco Mendota

I would probably give it more like 3.5 if it were an option. I recently moved into the area and have been wanting good Mexican ever since. I would say this qualifies as good, but not great. Al pastor is always my go to when I'm trying a new place. I found it to be full of flavor, well trimmed, but too saucy. This is not traditional sliced from the spit type Al pastor. The salsa served with the chips is very watery, without a lot of flavor, and very mild. It's perfect for young kids. All in all, I'll consider it again if I don't find a better option.

Went here while waiting for the train and had a great fast meal. Tacos and quesadillas were very good. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to our bigger group.

1st time here & will definitely be back. I been looking for this place since spring..they have to put a sign up front. I thought it was the railroad building the time I was looking for it back in May. Food very delicious & customer service perfect. And the tres leches yummy Thank u

Best food in town! Love it and everyone is so friendly and nice. Customer service is outstanding as well. Great prices and great quality and quantity for what you pay. Definitely recommend!

A guy my husband works with said we should try El Rey Del Taco and boy we are glad we did. Being it is during a pandemic cleanliness and masks mean a lot to us. They were all wearing masks and the place was spotless. We got our meals to go and they were packaged very nicely and everything was hot and fresh when we started eating it. The food was delicious and the menu is varied with many protein options to choose from. We got a bunch of different things and everyone tried a bit of each thing. The salsa was very good and the hot sauces both green and red were very good. It was nice when you order tacos you choice corn or flour shells and if you want them made in the Mexican or American style. The chimi was one of the best we have ever had. The place is handicap accessible with a ramp from the parking lot to the door. I was very impressed with the friendly and efficient staff.

El Rey has the best food in town. Their customer service is excellent. Highly recommend anyone who hasn't eaten here before to try it you won't be disappointed.

I literally inhaled those tacos de carne asada after a long day of hiking. DELICIOUS. Great service, and comfy/cool decor. Highly recommend!
